CONTENT STANDARDS
Congeniality is a platform dedicated to support businesses, communities, and professional and social groups. Our goal is to create enriching live experiences for all by supporting experts, influencers and other quality content and service providers.
The integrity of our platform is our top priority. At the basic level, we are committed to operate in a safe, secure and legal way. We further aim to create a community around curated live events organised by select individuals, groups and businesses with a community, educational, professional and social purpose.
Our Community Guidelines describe the types of live experiences we want on our platform and the type of events, activities, and content that we encourage-and prohibit. The list is not exhaustive and we may amend it, which is why it is important that you continue checking in frequently for updates.
We reserve the right not to publish any content that we do not consider appropriate or that falls under the list of Prohibited Content. The party responsible for posting inappropriate may have their access to our platform restricted or withdrawn.
We screen content posters and review their posts before they are public. We also rely on members of our community to keep the standards high, so please contact us right away, or in the case of a specific event-related issue. Email us at info@congeniality.co
To help you understand what is acceptable on Congeniality and what crosses our line, we created this set of Guidelines:
Prohibited Content
You may not use Congeniality to post content or engage in any conduct that is (in our opinion) offensive, harmful, or inappropriate for general audiences, or that we believe constitutes or is likely to encourage or promote any harmful, violent, or illegal activity or outcome.
The following types of activities, events, and content that are not permitted:
1. Illegal Activities
Criminal activity of any kind will not be tolerated. This may include explicit sexual content, illegal gambling, sale or ingestion of illegal drugs and other substances.
2. Inappropriate Activities
Activities that principally promote a commercial product or service, such as an “infomercial,” are prohibited unless such promotion is expressly disclosed to users in a legally sufficient manner.
3. Hateful/Dangerous Content, or Events By Hateful/Dangerous Organisations
Organisations that promote or encourage hate, violence, or harassment towards others and/or oneself are not welcome. This prohibition extends to the public promotion of this type of prohibited behavior whether or not specific to the event or content appearing as part of the Services.
4. Fake / Misleading Content
Site users may not knowingly post false information about their organisations, their businesses and themselves. This includes individual and organisations who misrepresent their background, skills and abilities and those of any other individuals or entities. Similarly, it is prohibited to falsely state or otherwise misrepresent their affiliation with any person or entity.
5. Defamatory / Libelous
Any content that defames or libels any other person, invades any person’s privacy, or contains a person’s likeness without their permission.
6. Prohibited Sales or Advertising
Congeniality is a platform for authorised content providers to offer tickets to their own events. The platform may not be used to resell tickets, administer raffles, sweepstakes, contests or games of chance of any nature, or otherwise facilitate the sale of anything other than a ticket for your own event. Exceptions are allowed: for merchandise or items that have been added as an option associated with an event ticket/registration.
7. Inappropriate Collection and Use of Information
We do not allow the collection of information for any commercial purpose, such as to resell information (whether personal or other information), or to post or transmit any unsolicited advertising, promotional material, “junk mail,” “spam,” “chain letter,” “pyramid scheme”, survey, investment opportunity, or any other form of commercial solicitation (except for sponsored events themselves).
8. Content that Infringes on the Intellectual Property Rights of Others
You may not upload or distribute content that you do not have a right to transmit under any law or under contractual or fiduciary relationships (such as inside information, or proprietary and confidential information learned or disclosed as part of employment relationships or under nondisclosure agreements). This includes, but is not limited to, all images, logos, videos, and text uploaded on your event listing.
Additionally, you may not remove any copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights notice from the material displayed, or reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or otherwise exploit for any commercial purposes.
9. Content that Invades the Privacy of Others
Be thoughtful and careful about the kind of information you ask for. You may not use Congeniality to collect credit card numbers, financial information, or other sensitive information not absolutely necessary for the administration of your event, and not available for collection through alternative methods.
Flag and Process for Review
